Abstract: 

WITH THE DAILY-INCREASING DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENCE, VARIOUS METHODS HAVE BEEN DESIGNED TO MORE AND BETTER RETRIEVE THE SCIENTIFIC DOCUMENTS BASED ON THE NEED AND SEARCH OF USERS. FOR SOME DOCUMENTS IN THE VARIOUS SCIENTIFIC DATABASES, NO COMPLETE Information EXISTS AND THE USERS HAVE TO OBSERVE THE INSIDE OF A DOCUMENT IN ORDER TO CATCH UP WITH ITS METADATA INCLUSION THE AUTHORS, THEIR AFFILIATIONS, THE REFERENCES CITED AND ETC. THEREFORE, PRESENCE OF A METHOD BASED ON EXTRACTING THE Information BASED ON THE AVAILABLE Structural AND GEOMETRICAL PROPERTIES IN A DOCUMENT CAN ASSIST THE RECOVERY OF RELATED AND REQUIRED DOCUMENTS. IN ADDITION, THE AVAILABLE PITFALL IN THE RELATIONAL DATABASED IS THE LACK OF DIRECT AND INDIRECT RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE AVAILABILITIES OF EACH SYSTEM FOR WHICH A GRAPH-ORIENTED DATABASE CAN ESTABLISH THE RELATIONS BETWEEN THESE AVAILABILITIES. IN THIS RESPECT, AFTER EXTRACTING METADATA USING THE GEOMETRICAL PROPERTIES OF DOCUMENT AND USING A GRAPH-ORIENTED MODEL, THE RELATIONS BETWEENVARIOUS DOCUMENTS’ AVAILABILITIES SUCH AS AUTHORS, CONFERENCES, SUBJECTS AND KEYWORDS AND ETC. ARE MODELED IN ORDER TO RETRIEVE THE Information MORE EFFECTIVELY. THE EXTRACTED DATA ARE REFINED AND STORED IN THE GRAPH MODEL AND WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR A USER VIA A WEB-BASED USER INTERFACE. TO PRODUCE THE RESULTS OF EACH SEARCH, THE RELATED DOCUMENTS WILL BE RETRIEVED BASED ON THE GRAPH RELATIONS AND BE WEIGHED ACCORDING TO THE RATE OF RELATEDNESS OF EACH DOCUMENT AND THE NUMBER OF REFERENCES. IN ORDER TO EVALUATE THE PROPOSED METHOD, PUBMED DATABASE IS USED. THE RESULTS OF EXPERIMENTS SHOW THE PROPOSED METHODS OUTPERFORMED 60% IN CONTRAST TO THE PUBMED DATABASE SEARCH ENGINE IN TERMS OF THE RETRIEVED DOCUMENTS. FURTHERMORE, BASED IN THE F-MEASURE, AND NDCG- MEASURE OF PROPOSED METHOD CONSIDERABLY OUTPERFORMED THE PUBMED DATABASE SEARCH ENGINE IN TERMS OF THE QUALITY OF RETRIEVED DOCUMENTS.

Abstract: 

Background and Aim: The aim of this study was Structural monitoring of the articles in knowledge and Information science field in five Iranian journals. Today, the publication of papers constitutes one of the written scope among scientific broad cost productions.Materials and Methods: The research method was analytical-survey. The articles were analyzed by the variables such as author distribution by sex, field of study, scientific notation, types of articles by original papers or translated papers, individual or group articles and their publication dates, and by statistical methods used in the articles in two periods from 2002-2006 and 2007-2011.Results: The results showed that most of the articles were written as original. International cooperation between authors was minimal. Using qualitative research methods among the articles were low. Majority of the authors had masters degree. There was a significant relationship between the authors’ grades, number of authors and journals, and used statistical methods.Conclusion: The written articles in the field of knowledge and Information, followed by special patterns. The journals policies in publication of articles process is the most important issue. Also, lack of international cooperation between Iranian with foreign authors, type and format of the articles were similar according to mentioned variations.

Abstract: 

Introduction: Evaluation of hospital Information system (HIS) is a complex endeavor, in which all human, technical and organizational aspects should be considered. This study aimed to develop indicators for HIS evaluation.Methods: Present qualitative study was carried out through a cross-sectional method in 2012 in Kerman province, using Delphi technique. Given the objectives of this study, three independent phases were performed including literature review, providing draft indicators for HIS evaluation and reaching consensus. Required data were obtained through interviews and designed forms. Twenty-three experts composed the study population in interview and reaching consensus phases. Validity and reliability were confirmed through content validity and test-retest method, respectively. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics.Results: Final set of indicators for HIS evaluation consisted of ninety-one indicators under 8 main topics, i.e. technical quality, software quality, architecture and interface quality, vendor quality, after-sale services quality, workflow support quality, support department, outcome quality and HIS cost.Conclusion: Given the complexity of Information system evaluation, all human, technical and organizational aspects have to be taken into account in any evaluation. Proposed indicators provide the possibility of comprehensive evaluation of HIS.

Abstract: 

Introduction: User satisfaction is considered as the most important criterion of Information system effectiveness. The aim of this study was to determine the factors affecting user satisfaction regarding hospital Information systems.Methods: This was a descriptive-analytical study. The study population consisted of users of Information systems of the teaching hospitals affiliated to Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, Iran. A questionnaire was designed based on the findings from literature review. After assessing the validity of the questionnaire with the help of medical informatics and health Information management experts and its final confirmation, questionnaires were distributed among 384 users that had been selected through stratified random sampling. Structural equation modeling was used for data analysis.Results: Overall, 8 domains of factors related to user satisfaction regarding hospital Information system (HIS) were confirmed to be statistically significant by Structural equation modeling. They included Information quality (estimate = 1), system quality (CR = 3.891), service quality (CR = 5.039), organizational structure and managing style (CR = 4.648), system usefulness (CR = 3.683), system use (CR = 4.963), user characteristics (CR = 5.043), and computer anxiety (CR = 4.963). The significance level of all domains was P < 0.001.Conclusion: The integrated model obtained from this study can be used as an effective tool in design, development, and management of user-driven HISs. This can contribute to enhancing user satisfaction which can prevent wasting of financial and human resources.

Abstract: 

Competition law is a newcomer to the legal system recently. A sound understanding of competition policy can provide us with sufficient bases to apply a fundamental and normative view of the issues of competition law. The difference in supervision and regulation determines how the market functions and in order to understand this difference one must understand competition policy. Competition policy may be based on governmental support for national production and industry or on a non-interventional and regulatory posture. Moreover, supervision, based on the principle of non-intervention in the market mechanism, is rooted in liberal ideas; however, regulation, whether as a rule or an exception, is based on the assertion that the market has been ineffective in attaining its goals. Therefore, the government will resort to interventions to regulate inefficiencies.  This paper aims to analyze Supervisory Authority in Implementing Competitive Policy by employing the description method. In this article the author tries to first delineate competition policy, its related requirements and imposed deviations to the market. Then, by defining the supervisory entity and clarifying its distinction from the regulatory institutions, the author considers the characteristics of an appropriate supervisory entity conducting a comparative study of this issue in Iran and the U.S.A. This form of Competition policy because of its applicable experiences which have been well described by recent scholarship is considered suitable for the native system.

Abstract: 

Sustainable development is one of the important aspects of any society's progress to maintain resources for future generations, to continue to develop and to benefit from clean land, and to use sustainable development with the environment. Green Information Technology (GIT) is a way to achieve these goals, which, in addition to providing sustainable development, assures the organization in organizational sustainability that it means sustaining the success and satisfaction of the stakeholders and adapting its behavior to the environment. This research seeks to design a model for the development of organizational sustainability through GIT. This study is an applied research from the objective point of view and a descriptive research based on the research method which is a mixed type. First, using the literature review and qualitative analysis, the indicators and components of GIT and organizational sustainability were extracted. Then, using 32 experts’ points of view, the indicators were evaluated through three stages of Delphi method. Sampling method at this stage was snowball. To implement the quantitative method, an online questionnaire was designed and forwarded to the statistical population including experts, senior managers of IT, and experts in the field of IT in the country. A total of 198 valid questionnaires were received and analyzed using Structural equation modeling and partial least squares method. The results indicate that GIT with dimensions (green preparedness, ICT as enabler (low carbon), green actions and activities, GIT cycle management, organization of green data centers, green Information monitoring) can be used for sustainability of organizations.

Abstract: 

In order to survive in the complex environment, budget programming or forecasting models have been criticized as inadequate for today’s business environment. Organizations have to use strategic planning to evaluate internal and external situation, then formulate proper strategies and implement them. The key to execute strategy is to have people in the organization understand it. Strategy map has a significant role in the strategic management due to describing strategies of organization and to help people understand strategies. Strategy map is essentially a graphical depiction of the causal model of an organization’s strategy then developing the causal model of the strategy is also important. This paper presents innovative approach to determine causal relationship and levels of strategic objectives in strategy map. For this purpose an interpretive Structural modeling (ISM) based approach has been employed to strategy map. This paper also utilizes the Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) methodology to understand the interrelationships among the objectives so that those driving objectives, which can affect others and those dependent objectives, which are most influenced by driving objectives are identified. It emphasizes that interrelationship among objectives isn’t only down to up, it is on both side. An actual example of a small case pipe and fittings manufacturing company provides some managerial insights into the methodology.

Abstract: 

With the increasing spread of science, various methods have been proposed to restore more and better scientific documents according to the needs and requests of users. Since there is no complete Information for some documents, users have to access the metadata including the name of authors and their affiliation, the publication date, and references used for the document by accessing to the documents. Therefore, extraction of Information based on the Structural and geometrical characteristics of the document can be very helpful in retrieving relevant and required documents. In this paper, after extracting metadata using geometrical features of documents and graph-based model, the relationships between different entities such as documents, authors, journals, and conferences are modeled for more efficient Information retrieval. The extracted and refined data, stored in the graph model, are available in a web-based user interface. To produce the results of each query, the related documents are retrieved based on the graph’s relationships, the quality of each document, and their citation score. To evaluate the proposed method, the PubMed and D2SPR databases are used. The results from the experiments show that the number of retrieved documents in the proposed method is 60% higher than the PubMed database search engine and 80% higher than D2SPR. Moreover, nDCG with an average of 0.824 in the proposed approach has a significant distance with the average of 0.30 in Pubmed search engine. While the average of F-measure on D2SPR dataset is 0.834 for the suggested system, the value is 0.71 in the current study.

Abstract: 

Direct objects are encoded via specific grammatical tools in Persian. Using random data mostly from colloquial Persian (and written Persian in case of need), the author first intend to introduce these tools. Employing the Layered Structure of the Clause and Focus Structure as defined in Role and Reference Grammar, the author proceeds to formally represent the tools via syntactic templates that contain Information-Structural properties of the direct object. We learn that the hypothesis regarding the direct object being a secondary topic marker in the spirit of ra-marking (Dabir-Moghaddam, 2006) needs to be discarded. Information-Structurally, not only is the direct object qualified to be part of the pragmatic presupposition, hence serving as the topic of the sentence, it is also licensed to constitute a narrow focus by itself or to participate in predicate and sentence focus structures. This originates from the fact that-ra in Persian signals the identifiability of the object’ s referent in the interlocutors’ discourse universe. It is also proposed that the bi-fold classification of a narrow focus into in-situ Information focus and ex-situ contrastive focus does not only apply to the narrow focus in the spirit of Persian data. A predicate focus can be contrastive when a ra-marked object residing at the Pre-Core Slot is disjoined from the transitive predicate by an intervening subject. In actuality, this discontinuous predicate focus structure is ‘ construed’ as a contrastive narrow focus.
